Square-Enix was invited to show Advent Children at the Venice Film Festival in both
2004 and 2005 and the Montreal Film Festival in 2004. The two festivals are considered
the most prestigious such festivals in the world, with many top film making companies
showing their upcoming releases.
Venice Film Festival 2005
September 2005: This was the first screening of the full movie to the public. Invited
back after a successful screening in 2004, Advent Children was surely one of the
highlights at Venice once again.
Montreal Film Festival 2004
October 2004: The second screening of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Special
Edition. Two screenings of the film were shown at the Montreal Film Festival. Staff
member, Shadowgirl was lucky enough to attend the screening for Advent Children.net
and has provided the following reports.
Venice Film Festival 2004
September 2004: The first screening of Advent Children took place at the Venice
Film Festival. Usually reserved for completed movies, Square-Enix was invited to
attend and screened a 25 minute version of the film.
