Ai Nanase was one of the lucky winners of the V-Jump competition to be a motion
actor in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. With permission, we have been allowed
to re-produce her diary here to share with English speaking fans of Advent Children.
2003-01-21:
I bought V-Jump!!
I managed to buy it! I managed to buy it! I finally found one!
V-Jump is something that any relatively large bookstore should be selling. But it
was prominently featured and they apparently only had a few in stock. Do you understand
how much I suffered until I found it??
The FFVII AC motion capture scenes whose filming I participated in the other day
took up about a page of this month's issue of V-Jump.
"The six "chosen ones" who took part in the filming...(middle omitted)...immediately
became good friends!!"
Woah! I'm tickled by this taste of being praised like that - I can hardly stand
it!
My introduction to the content of what we were filming came in bits and pieces,
but out of all of them, the one that really shocked me was the "scene on the strand."
My guess is that that scene is going to be pretty important, although I should mention
that they only let us in on scattered bits of information, so there's no way I can
say anything for sure.
I'm sure a few other keywords that are hints [about the storyline] were included,
and I think it's fun to try and use them to imagine what the actual movie will be
like.
Lessee... It's too bad, but they didn't publish any pictures of Nomura-san. (´・ω・`)
I really wish that I'd resolutely pursued my massive ambition of taking millions
of pictures, with my weapon - a cell phone with camera attached - in one hand.
Oh! I'll tell you about one thing I do remember.
It's just like somebody said in an interview somewhere: Nomura really does jangle
when he walks. He's an honest-to-god silver accessory collector! That left a bit
of an impression on me.
But, I doubt I'm the only person who secretly thinks it's a little like a cat's
bell. No matter where he is, you can find him. (giggle)
